    I bought my first S&W during the dark days of the brand, back in the 1970s, when workmanship was rock bottom. It was a 4" M29 that got fed a stead diet of full, heavy-bullet loads. The front ramp insert flew out. The cylinder slop is amazing. The amount of lead it spit used to leave my left forearm covered in blood after every match because I was fool enough to shoot it from rollover prone.

    IOW, today it's garbage. But it's my garbage and it carries great sentimental value for me, so it'll sit in that nice wood box it originally came with, on a top shelf of my closet, probably till the day I die.

    But things are better now. You did good.

    I'll let Ben post his pic of the one I presume we are talking about.
    I don't have a picture of my piece-o-crap M29 and I really don't feel like pulling it out just to take a picture. It's on the top shelf of my gun closet, in the back, where I can't get to it without first moving a ton (maybe literally) of ammo.
