Me too!Lucas CLP seems to work great for my needs.
been using that for years.
A lot of options now days.
But reason I ask is I looked at my shelf the other day and I have bottlles and pastes and creams of stuff I havent touched in years. It was taking up a lot of shelf space for something never used.
Pulled all of them down and boxed it up. Going to a friend that will use.
Over the years I slowly and with great skepticism migrated to three products and that is all I use anymore. Period. Correction, four products.
I use Bore Tech Carbon Cleaner, Eliminator and Copper Remover exclusively anymore.
For heavily fouled ASR's and muzzel breaks I use CLR with a little scrubbing now and then till clean.
I do have an Vevor ultrasonic cleaner but find I end up scaping and picking and redoing most heavily fouled parts, so I just use the carbon cleaner and be done with it. Easier, quicker and I don't have to clean the ultrasonic.
Disclaimer:
In no way is this an advertisment of Bore Tech.
I have used Hoppes, J-B, Butch's, Sharp Shoot R and countless others with success.
Too bad Hot Wells didn't know that. Please don’t forget the first step, remove ALL cartridges.
