Glock 19 gen 3 and Gen 5 are on sale at Academy for $499. You have to buy online and do in store pick up.

Now I see why you asked the question gen3 vs gen5. $499 is a screaming deal for a gen5. In 2018 (or was it 2017?) I paid $499 for my gen4 at Academy. The Gen5 was $539 at the time. I’d jump on that gen5

Used Glock 22 and 23 mags for $10 and $11 are never really a bad deal either. Nice to see them back to that pricing. I've been out of it for awhile, so not sure when they switched back to pre panic/flu pricing.

Looks like it expired. Looks like they only have the Gen 3 for $499 now. I'm pissed I didn't jump on it. I thought it was something they were running for presidents day weekend.

I got really lucky, the guy at my local Academy honored the $499.99 price for the Gen 5. It just felt better in my hands than the Gen 3.
