LOL. That's like adding sodium to water . Watch the fireworks!

I can see the headlines now... angry, drunk patron shoots up a bar when refused gun range access... news at 11.

Hope it works out for them but I'm skeptical.

Guns and alcohol dose not make a good mixer.

When we're out hunting we love to get twisted up in the evening. #1 rule: ALL firearms (rifles and cc) are locked up before any drinking begins. We're miles into private property behind locked gates so external threats are not a real problem. No one ever fights so that's not a problem either. The reason it's rule number one is because people act stupidly when under the influence.

Good rule. I too believe that when the alchy comes out the guns go up. After you have a cold one, you're done for the day.

IMO.. I think this is a bad idea. If you want to drink after shooting, bring your weapons home first. I just don't believe a shooting range is a place for social drinking. Bad example for children that may be present, not to mention driving home with a few drinks in you and guns in your vehicle. What happens in the parking lot after a few buddies get tipsy and want to show off their guns?

I say have at it. Let adults be adults. The bar owner doesn't let them shoot afterwards. That being said, I would not likely indulge because I don't usually drink when I'm driving home.

How many people on here keep a firearm in their car at all times and go drinking, then drive home 2 feet away from their gun. I think the bigger concern is that people go out drinking all the time, then get behind the controls of 2 ton weapons on the way home. Happens millions of times every day.

Pretty much the same response when the Palazzo hotel and casino on the Strip here in Las Vegas proposed opening a range IN the casino...in partnership with Beretta. It would be the only range on the Strip (but definitely not in town, obviously). Now the Silverton, which is quite a few miles to the south, is connected to Bass Pro Shop, which has its own shooting range. Never been in that one because there are 4 other ranges within 4 miles of me. Bass Pro Shop is about 15 miles away.

I also agree, not a good idea. As a chl, I would not stop and have a drink after the range. This a bad attempt for gun range owners to sqeeze more funds out of their patrons.. They should focus on having more family friendly events....

I guess I don't see a problem with it. I am not saying it should be easier for idiots to do what they do best, but I could see a couple guys firing a few rounds and then having a drink or two afterward. I think many guys would do this anyways but have to leave the range and find a bar.

Like I said, people are gonna do this type of thing anyways. Sounds like a good place to hang out and talk guns.

Probably get some good deals in the parking lot also..............

I used to hunt with a guy in Kansas who hunted drunk. Actually, he did everything drunk........... 24/7. From experience, this combination of firearms and booze probably won't end well.
