That's what they have to do to a 1911 to make it legal to "own" in the UK (though they "own" it by storing it only under lock and key at a gun club they have to be a member of...where it can be confiscated at any time). There's no such thing as an "SBR" over there, there's only "you can't have a pistol. And also you can't have it readily available, and don't you even think about defending yourself or anything else with it."
