I remember when they did this. It exploded in their face. They had to go back and scrub all the "material" from their website they had to show white folks the error of their ways because the donors took their money elsewhere.
The lying about it and denying what they said made me just as mad as what they said

I had ALWAYS donated to the SA because they helped us after the Palm Sunday tornados when I was a kid. We lost everything, we only had the clothes on our backs and were not allowed to go in our house to get things because it was too unstable.

Red Cross handed us kids a donut and then turned to my dad asking for money. Someone from the SA overheard this and took us to their tent to give us a hot meal, clothes, and gave us contacts to find temporary housing. They also told us to come back any time we needed a meal, clothes, or help getting assistance.

I cannot give to them anymore and it bothers me because I know they were a good organization at one time.

In WWI, the Red Cross would bring donuts to troops, sometimes all the way to the trenches. Then they charged them for the donut before handing it over.

My dad hated the Red Cross and told that story often. I don't know where he got it and I've always wondered if it was true.

that is a pretty clever idea... probably easier one-handed than using a C clamp like I do.
Lol - I used to be a C-clamp guy. Got a pad spreader - sort of like this:

I've used it a few times - kinda nice for front calipers. Still have to use something to screw in the rear ones though.
