SIL gave me an Olight years ago, worked great except now the switch is getting a little flaky.
Funny how some folks make declarations on things without any actual personal experience.
Can't recall what it was now but someone chastised me over some firearm choice with dire warnings of catastrophe and widespread chaos.
Researched that warning on and off for a couple weeks. What I found was one rant of a problem that was clearly user error, repeated with entertaining embellishments across numerous sites, culminating in a pervasive negative perception of a product for an ignorant non-issue. To add insult to injury, it was parroted by otherwise rational individuals of my acquaintance!

Moral: Believe none of what you hear and barely half of what you see.

I own two of their products. Don't own anything made by Springfield or Taurus, never had a pair of "skinny jeans", also have multiple surefire handheld and weapon lights as well as some Streamlight stuff, BE Meyers stuff, and Wilcox stuff (not all illumination is visible spectrum). I'm not loyal to any single brand, I buy stuff based upon the intended use and a less expensive handheld flashlight is sometimes all you need. The hate seems to come from people who've never owned one and are too insecure to buy something that isn't hyped as the ultimate high speed low drag brand by the instagram crowd.
You may've mistaken the "Funny pic" thread for the "Serious as hell" thread.

Or maybe the "recommend me a rocky beach so I don't get sand in m'vag" thread.

J/K... I, too, like to live dangerously. I drove an uncorrected 1970 Pinto Runabout in highschool and a 1965 Mustang with the Molotov cocktail gas tank in college.
