    Why do you say that.
It's evenly wet all the way around. Not like one side is dry and the other wet.

Depending on the soil type there could be a severe contraction of the ground around the foundation when it dries out. And it looks like this is in farmland where you usually get more variance in soil density between wet and dry.

    Something isn't right. .......
Witnessed this in real life, once.

Many years ago, I was sitting at the convenience store one winter day watching wreck after wreck at an underpass where the shadow of the road above kept the ice on the road nice and frozen in a left turn lane. Nearby, a Chrysler K-car couldn't get up a short driveway into an apartment complex because it was a bit steep. I saw her get out, three guys stopped to help, they finally managed to get the chains on the rear wheels, and then she tried the driveway again and failed.

She tried repeatedly for 20 minutes, at least. Finally, she made it.

All of which means if she had just looked over the situation logically, she could have gotten into that driveway the very first time she tried.

If there had been an "Epic Picard Facepalm" meme at the time, I would have tried to find a way to post it on her windshield. :)
