In my quest to thin out the P320 collection and get back to my first true love, the 45…. These are my current considerations.

Looking for a full size double-stack that will be great at the range, perfect for home defense, and occasional OWB concealed carry. Needs to be durable, optic cut if I decide to mount one, and have (or be able to have) threaded barrel. As much as it will be a tool, I also enjoy nice guns.

    FNX 45 Tactical
    Pros:
    it’s a beast.
    Capacity
It screams “this guy is cool” (don’t laugh, it matters)
Suppressor height sights and threaded barrel

    Cons:
    Trigger is meh
    No aftermarket trigger support
    Not much aftermarket anything.

    Glock 21
    Aftermarket galore
Cheaper, can be built the way I want
Can get MOS or aftermarket slide
    No shortage of holsters

    Cons:
Dime a dozen, not a lot of wow factor

Total price will likely be the same. Do I go all out for the FNX and possibly hate the trigger, or build a glock for twice what it’s worth?

Open to other suggestions as well.

Just re-read and saw the possible rds requirement.

A few people have suggested that one. I shot a USP in 40 about 10 years ago and hated it. Something about the recoil felt really weird. Like springy or spongy or something. Granted, it was a 40.

    Either or?

    Buy both..........problem solved.........
if all my listed guns sell, that might be the way to go. and then some.
I love my fnx 45 and to me it needs nothing lol
I can't leave a mechanical pencil alone lol.
I do have a lot of guns that are unmodified... but a lot of them are safe queens

This 45 purchase would be for the sole purpose of bastardizing
Maybe shoot both the G-21 & G-41 against the FNX to help make the decision.

I ended up preferring the G-41 over the G-21 after doing that a few years back.

we didn't ask for any logic here
I should check if my range has them for rent.
A used S.A. XD(m) might fill the void on the shelf that you have.
I've got a XD9 Tactical and XDs45 for sale right now, trying to un-XD right meow.

Email LTT and see if they'll work on a PX4 in .45?

Would be much better than sending your gun back to FN every 2k rounds or having grip frames made of rubber

I have a Glock 21 and love it. It’s a big gun. But it eats any kind of crap ammo I put in it. It’s completely stock, and I can’t imagine I’d be any happier with it tricked out.

Couldn’t give you an accurate round count? But it has never choked on a single round.

My vote is for the 21. And for you to shoot it a bunch before considering any upgrades.
