EVERY KNIFE I MAKE I LEARN SOMETHING NEW!

There were a LOT of lessons learned on this one. Including never to use that steel vendor again...most of my difficulties came from the steel, that turns out to have been hardened and tempered before I got it. I wasn't able to heat it evenly to anneal it properly, which caused the months and months of grinding before I could get the surface even.

Another lesson was not to promise a three week turnaround on a custom knife LOL. I'm so lucky Hoji is patient and reasonable.

Looks really good. Should work as planned.
    Hoji is good people.

Here's hoping. It's my first time having only the cutting edge hardened and tempered - no choice with how that thing took up every bit of the width of my forge. I'm a little nervous - gonna be waiting for the reports from the field eagerly.

    The fourth Bonechopper video...is POSTED!!!

I don't think very many people knows how much work and time goes into making a custom clever or even a knife. I know I didn't.

You do very good work and I'm sure @Hoji appreciates the time and effort you put into custom making his cleaver. AKA the bonechopper.

I appreciate it, Pops. To be honest, the Bonechopper took a LOT more work than the other blades I've made. It fought me. Hard. Even to the point of defying the laws of physics a time or two.
