This is exactly the kind of writing you get when the author gets stoned on pot. He/she thinks the article is a major literary accomplishment but it really ends up like this. The results are disjointed, with comparisons and contrasts that are obscure and make little sense. Basically, it's a waste of time to write it and worse....to read it.
