Small assist requested from you web savy folk ~

This was posted in another forum, from a reliable member, who went back to find a link and couldn't.

Have any of you heard about this? Any link info would also be most appreciated.

" Saw an article today reporting that replacement power transformers are not available. New ones could take years to be manufactured. So the folks in the disaster area could be without electricity for years. Apparently the government went to several large utility companies suggesting that they remove some existing transformers from service and move them to the disaster area. Then compensate by instituting rotating blackouts among their existing customers. All the utility companies refused saying their crews would be subject to violence (shooting) during the removal of said equipment. "

Add: My searches found lots of articles from 2021-3 about known shortages, but nothing re this event.
