FEDERAL STUDY: LONGER SENTENCES REDUCE RECIDIVISM
The United States Sentencing Commission released a study Tuesday confirming its findings from an earlier study that federal criminals who receive longer sentences are less likely to commit new crimes than those who receive shorter sentences.

What you mean "they", Kemo Sabe? "We" paid for that study, the taxpayers.

Yes, anyone with a brain knew this going in, but you need to remember, people with brains are not running this country right now, leftists are running this country. Now at least we can show the brainless leftists the science and they can go whine about something else.

My Dad was born in 1908. Twice in his youth his Grandfather took him to witness a public hanging. He told me that it was something that STICKS with you. He said it was a POWERFUL deterrent
We need a LOT of public hangings, and they need to be done at the local Court House like they were done then.

better to let a guilty man go free than let the state kill one innocent.

I don't support the death penalty period. We can not give the state exclusivity on murder.

Sentences should be enforced. Parole should be eliminated and once you have served your time ALL of your rights restored.

We can not give the state exclusivity on murder.

The Constitution makes clear that anyone can be deprived of life -- given due process

although by definition, the state does not murder, and even if we use a loose term, say, homicide, it's not exclusive. We all have the right to kill in defense of self or others.

With as many false convictions that we've seen of death row inmates I'm going to go ahead and say no. I don't support it. The state can railroad you.

the state isn't in active defense of anyone when they kill you. They're just carrying out a sentence. So self-defense does not factor into murder. It's exclusive to the state.,
