I nuked FB years ago. This stuff they are doing is not new to them. I killed Twitter yesterday. They were following right where FB left off.Deactivated Facebook this morning. Their algorithms control what you see and now with the way they appear to be censoring or “fact checking” it was time to leave. Like others I will use forums like this and Reddit for now.
Yup...Isn't that part of Zuck's empire though? Leaving FB for FB2...
Again I have to point out something. There is no 1st Amendment regulation of a private company. The 1st Amendment only prevents CONGRESS from , well read the language. With Facebook (maybe Fakebook is more accurate) ignoring the 1st amendment, catering to the left and banning the right, they have become too discriminating for me.
I’ve found some Facebook alternatives, such as; MeWe, Mastodon, Diaspora, Minds, and Sociall. Does any TGT members have experience with any of these to recommend?
You have completely misunderstood me. All you're doing is grandstanding. I am not saying that Facebook must abide by the 1st amendment. I'm not saying that at all, and I dont think anyone else is either.Again I have to point out something. There is no 1st Amendment regulation of a private company. What I'm saying is that Facebook is two-faced, hypocritical, and discriminatory. Its okay for liberal members to spout off insanity, But Its not okay for conservative members to voice thier opinion.
I'm saying "what's good for the goose must also be good for the gander."
I'll say it again William, so you maybe understand. I'm not saying Facebook must by law abide by the first amendment. What I AM saying is that it is ethically and morally wrong for Facebook to have a god complex and feel justified in choosing what may be said publicly and what may not be said publicly. Yes Facebook is not a government insitution so they are free to enjoy thier liberties. Just as I am at liberty to delete my Facebook account and boycott anything owned by Mark Zuckerburg.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
TipBledsoe, I did not misunderstand your post. I reacted to, and I quote, " With Facebook (maybe Fakebook is more accurate) ignoring the 1st amendment, " I was not "grandstanding" I was reacting to your post. Now, I see you seem to be angry with me for how I responded to YOUR words, that is your reaction to my words. I think your ire with me is misplaced, keep your anger focused on the multimillionaire who created Facebook and how he is manipulating millions around the worlds and creating misinformed masses.

Forums are the only place i have found you can "reasonably" speak you mind. I mean you cant even discuss the racial politics of the left on most places yet you even mention how our whole country could be like california in 30 years without action then put you in facebook jailThis forum is the closest thing I get to social media so no personal experience with any of this. Have you tried parler? I think its suppose to be some sort of alternative to facebook
