I guess no one felt it.

    Did you feel it Texan2?

I find it odd that a 4.6 is not making a stir here on tgt.

Some early reports were at 5.3.

Maybe Momma was right when she said that the beach was gonna be around Austin and Houston would be underwater.

Serious construction on my street from about June, projected to go into the beginning of next year.
Heavy trucks and tracked machines directly in front of the house this week.

We could have had a 12.5 and I wouldn't have known about it!

I want to experience an earthquake once in my life before I die. Hopefully that's not what kills me though

Just go to 6th street in Austin and yell out "FREE BEER AT (insert some random bar name here)!"
The resultant stampede will surely create a good magnitude 5 quake!

the last one i was in, you could feel the foundation shift with each hit. then for two days you could feel the aftershocks. the first day to day and a half they hit every 30 minutes to an hour.

Alaska has more earthquakes than CA, and it a hell of a lot nicer to visit. No place is earthquake free, tho. They might be too small to notice or happen only once every 1000 years or something like that, but they do happen.

I've been in two big enough to really get my attention, one in Europe and the North Ridge Earthquake in 1994. I was about eight or nine miles from the Northridge epicenter, and it REALLY got my attention. Such things are best observed from a distance.
