Lucky you! I"m a big fan. Who was his opener?
Gary Allen......Their instrumentals were excellent but for some reason the vocals seemed to mess them up....

Dwight is going to be teaming up with The Mavericks next month and I'm going to see where they are playing. The Mavericks were also a very good show.

I caught his show in Lake Charles last Saturday night. Excellent is all I can say. He plays from his catalogue with a few covers thrown in. His lead guitarist is absolutely amazing. If he gets to your area, I highly recommend going!
Was he at the Nugget? We usually stop there when we drive to NOLA. Gamble some, have an old fashioned and eat a steak

We live “between the casinos’’. i don’t go or gamble but all my friends say that the Chitichimacha Indian Casino at Charenton, LA, is the best. Even a bunch go just to the “Mr. Lester’s Steakhouse”.

Didn't know that was there. We'll have to check it out. Thanks.

I’d love to see him and The Mavericks. I grew up on 90’s country too.

Actually, I'm from So Cal and grew up with 60's - 80's rock; hold the disco please! There was a station that played alternative stuff one night a week and his songs just struck me as good. I was lucky enough to live close by to the Palomino Club where he was a regular. I've also been to Buck Owens Crystal Palace in Bakersfield a few times.

My friends who live in this area & frequent the casinos all say that Cypress Bayou is best by far. It is about an hour further than Coushatta if driving from Texas, or an hour closer than New Orleans, but relatively no crime.

One would usually pass through Crowley, Lafayette, & New Iberia, where the restaurants are great. Much better than New Orleans.

Another unrecognized jewel, but no casino, is the tiny town of Lake Arthur, which has the fantastic little “Bank Hotel’’, the famous over-the-Lake ‘’Regatta Restaurant’’, & the less famous but wonderful ‘Not’s Restaurant and the nearby C’est Bon, both locals’ favorites.

Lake Arthur is also home to the beautiful mid-Mermentau River and the Rockefeller & Lacassine Game Reserves.

Lake Arthur is a super place for duck hunting, cycling, & to BYOB (BOAT).

Saw him at the last Willie's 4th of July Picnic and I agree he and his band are well worth watching.

Had always loved his music, but never had gotten to see him live.
