I just bought a Polish Tantal that has been duracoated. The duracoat is flaking off, pretty bad in some areas...I can see that the parkerized finish is still intact. What could I use to remove just the duracoat, and leave the parkerized finish( which I think looks much better than black anyway)?? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Most of my experience has been with Gun Kote(TM). Anytime I have goofed up a paint job and had to strip that stuff off i have had to sandblast it off. Isn't Duracoat much like it?
Someone must have painted over some surface contamination to make it "act" like THAT.
