It appears the new thing is EVERYONE in major sports is supposed to come out with a statement. That appears to be what’s happening and anyone who doesn’t say or post what others think they should it’s been total assault on their position. Drew isn’t the only one. Hell they claim Tiger didn’t say enough. Owners, coaches, players, ect....
It appears the sentiment is you’re either with us or against us?
It is all for publicity. Every TV personality, sports player, and anyone else who wants to maintain their public support has come out with some public statement in favor of the protests and rioting.
Me, I believe if you don't want to be hassled by the police don't break our countries laws.
Yeah. I had to get away from the saint's forum I visit for a while. There are folks that believe if you don't agree that it's ok to kneel during the anthem you're a racist and condone police brutality. No other reason is valid
Entertainers need to entertain and keep their opinions to themselves. No one cares what they think. Just as soon as they state their opinion about something, half of their fan base is going to be offended. Then they have to apologize to win those fans back. If you said it, own it.
I think he did because of the amount of pressure being put forth to be vocal. The latest talking points I've seen is that If you do not agree 100% and essentially voice your support, you are part of the problem.
I heard as much from a colleague at work yesterday.
Unfortunately it's permeated completely into work culture in corporate America. And suggesting it is much more complex or nuanced is the moral equivalent of burning a cross on someone's front lawn in this day and age.
The extremists have won.
I'm still keeping my mouth shut. I'm sure at the expense of my future career potential in some way.
leftists only want your opinion if it agrees with them. They have no interest in real diversity, they have no tolerance for free speech. They will try to degrade and denigrate him until he cows down and retracts and apologizes for his statement. I hope he has the strength and commitment to stand up for what is his right!
