petty much any land open to the public for hunting is going to have it's fair share of dumb-shits!Curious what your experience was?
Too many dumbshits out there?
Had the place to yourself?
TP&W staff okay to deal with?
Were there any birds?
ElPaso.
Arizona.
Mexico.
Argentina.
True but all are well worth the effort for a weekend or so. With the exception of Argentina. I've never been but know a few who have. Way too pricey for me just to shoot little birds. It's like a trip to Africa.Bit far for an afternoon dove hunt.

I went to one of the TP&W dove areas a few years ago on opening morning and it was nuts! We were in the Katy area on a corn field (it might have been some kind of maize). They had cut down the corn around the outer edge of the field and there was a shooter about every 20 yards, literally. Everyone tried to be safe, but with that many people that close together, it's impossible. We left within 30 minutes after daylight. I'm told that after opening weekend, it gets much better, but I have no personal experience.Curious what your experience was?
