We have another CHL class coming up in a couple of weeks. Class fee is $95 and comes with a $45 voucher off of one of our Defensive Handgun classes. Also, veterans, active duty military, and LE receive a 15% discount, so just $80. The shooting qualification portion will be done at Best of the West Shooting Range in Liberty Hill, TX later in the evening. Classroom location is TBD. Contact me ASAP if you're interested. Also, for those of you relatively new to handguns, contrary to popular belief, Texas CHL classes generally do not teach you how to shoot. By definition, the shooting portion of class is a proficiency test, showing that you already know how to handle and shoot a handgun. If you are not already comfortable with doing so in a safe manner, that's alright. Just please contact us in advance. We can always work out a time to meet you at a range for some 1 on 1 training to get you up to speed before hand.
Also, second option for those that are not yet comfortable with handguns. Our CHL class comes with a $45 voucher towards one of our Defensive Handgun classes. If you pay for your CHL class and a Defensive Handgun class in advance, you can take advantage of that voucher before the CHL class, attending a Defensive Handgun class, getting your shooting skills up to speed, and it will also go a long way towards preparing you to actually carry a gun and being able to use it safely from the holster and/or from concealment.

This is the class you need to obtain a Texas State Concealed Handgun License. You will learn the rules and regulations of when and where you can carry. You'll receive the state mandated 10 hours of CHL instruction, written examination, as well as your shooting proficiency test held at a private range. In addition you will also learn some eye-opening facts to help you start building a defensive mindset and taking the personal responsibility required for carrying a firearm.

Age requirement for active military is 18 years of age and older, 21 years and older for civilians. If you have been charged with a Class A or B Misdemeanor or Disorderly Conduct in the last 5 years you must wait 5 years from the date of conviction. Convicted Felons are not eligible unless pardoned.
