Never thought about the phrase, but ewwwww.

For the past 2 years i made a "daisy-chain" of 1200 LED 2812B lights to make a 8 ft. tall LED Christmas tree that displays pictures and patterns to music. Uses Arduinos and a Raspberry Pi as the controller. Guess I'll have to call it something else.

In talking to the neighbor about how a mesh system works with an internet router, I used the term “daisy chain”. He understood that I meant a series of components strung together in a linear fashion to provide more coverage.

When I got home, I begin to wonder about the origins of the term, Daisy Chain. So, I looked it up. Yes, it refers to making daisies into a chain as a type of ornament. It also has a sexual connotation. I’ll leave it to you if you want to look into it further, but I will just say this is one sick world.
