I"m fine with reasonable decisions too. What is happening is NOT reasonable at all and should not be protected. City councils pushing this behavior needs to be voted out too.
    The masses are asses...

People think every thing is "the police"
They think police let people go after we arrest them, they think "the police" give them PR bonds, they think "the police" make the laws... then (in Austin) they go and vote for leftists on council and an actual real, avowed socialist for the DA... then wonder why "the police" (which are approaching 50% staffing levels) arent doing their job!

ONLY Congress or the Legislature, via impeachment.

Tue Chief Justice can stop them or reassign them to Presidio.
You're just talking about Federal District Court Judges, right?

There are lots of other courts at the state level and below with different ways of installing and removing judges. Even in the federal system, administrative law judges don't get the level of protection that district court judges get, so there's some stratification even there.

Or am I just misreading you?

IANAL. but have consistently heard from the better-informed, that impeachment was the only antidote for a Federal District Judge ‘’gone bad’’.

If this is not correct, please tell us.

    Hamilton or L7?

You're right; most deputies and officers I know are pissed about the DA's office declining to prosecute criminals or their own brass's changing the mission.

It's all part of the plan, though. They create the problem then offer the solution. Unfortunately, the solution always involves in citizens relinquishing rights, authority or money. Most often, all three.
