First and foremost you can easily correspond to the elected U.S. House Representatives and Senators through their websites.

If you don't know who your representative is: Find Your Representative · House.gov

    Senators:
John Cornyn: United States Senator John Cornyn, Texas
Kay Bailey Hutchison: Kay Bailey Hutchison | U.S. Senator - Texas -- not completely useless since she will be running against Perry soon.
Ted Cruz: He doesn't have one yet and no correspondence on his election TedCruz.org website.

I sent a message to Sam Johnson, my representative, even though he is already pro-gun and does not believe in any more regulation as only good people follow laws.

You can find out who represents you in the Texas senate and house: Who Represents Me--Home

I've read reports of South Carolina attempting to pass legislation that ignores Washington weapon legislature. I really can't comment on how true they are or not but contacting state representatives can't hurt.
