Non-traditional but only because I'll be cooking just for me, wife still can't take food. I'll probably cook a cornish game hen.

Not going to be in the mood to wait for dinner to be done so whatever fast food is open that's where I'll be stopping.
And someone's gonna get a huge TIP just for working that day.

The family Christmas dinner that we talk about most and will never forget was the year we had someone hospitalized in Houston and we all rushed in.

No plans and no reservations put us eating Christmas dinner at a Waffle House.

After years of Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners being shifted to fit work schedules, it will be good to have a traditional dinner.

Traditional Texas Christmas meal. Smoked brisket & ham, fried okra, pinto beans, tater salad, pecan pie topped with homemade vanilla ice cream.

My plan this year is not to have a plan. We’re taking an eastern Caribbean cruise; they’ll decide for us while we sip Mai Tais and order off the menu.

The family has decided to do a fish/shrimp/oyster fry this year.
There will be grills available for those who prefer that method over frying.

Last year we did tamales, enchiladas, rice, beans, etc. It was a musical Christmas!

My daughter and SIL are going to his relatives in Bryan and stopping by for a few hour in the morning, so the wife is planning some kind of brunch. Not sure what she has in mind, but I will bet it will be good, but it will not be traditional.
