CHL When??

Friends that went through the class with us back September 12th got theirs the week before Thanksgiving. My wife gots hers this past Saturday in the mail.
I called today and found out because of some criminal history 30 years ago, namely a couple of Public Intoxications and a DUI that was reduced to running a redlight. It could take up 180 days to investigate these "criminal" activities.
I guess you are at the mercy of the state?? Or the DPS? Oh, well my wife can carry and protect me.

Yep, not much you can do but wait. I took my class Sept 15th, mailed the packet Sept 21 and got my license the day before Thanksgiving. I know it's tough but be patient and it will come.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety website:

Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

Now just waiting for it to come in the mail.

Got it in today's mail! Didn't go for my Wally World walk like lots of folks do, I had to attend a meeting about the Big Texas Toy Run taking place this coming Sunday. I carried there with lots of bikers, no one knew.
