... Arizona has it right. DST is idiotic.

Does anybody have any evidence that this has any kind of positive effect? Even a tiny little bit?

Either way, it's not worth doing, and daylight savings needs to die.

Hawaii doesn't do Daylight Saving Time either. We had a chance to forgo doing it here in Nevada but the gutless governor at the time, Kenny Guinn, wouldn't sign the bill. His reason? "It would confuse the tourists from California." Confuse the kalifornicators? Those assholes are already confused so Guinn's reason was about as useless as antlers on a butterfly.

As for effects, it can have a NEGATIVE effect on a person's health:
Once again, it’s time to turn the clocks forward (at 2 a.m. Sunday) for Daylight Saving Time. The yearly change is sure to cause more than a few missed brunch dates, and perhaps some confusion over why the alarm is going off an hour early. But the shift in sleep schedule could have more serious effects on some people’s health, according to experts on circadian rhythm, particularly in people with depression or heart disease.

I always like the "reason" some dipsticks use for DST. It's for the farmers. The farmers don't give a flying rat's ass WHAT the time is. They work during daylight hours no matter what the damn clock says.

Farmers work whenever there's work that needs to be done.

Daylight? Thomas Edison fixed that problem.
