Cb mount

How thick is the roof on the trucks cab? I want to mount my cb on the roof.

Depending on the truck, it is usually two layers with some seperation between them. Pull the headliner down and check first though. It is a good spot for a cb, and I have done it before. It is just a pain to run the wires around and down the pillar, and check the wire length first.

I was thinking about using sub floor glue. The truck never had a head liner. Should I drill or glue it?

You may be better off mounting it under the dash.

Ill look at it but, something in my mind is drawing a red flag on that location. Might have to do with the big weird 4wd lever.

Weld it and forget it.

Ofcourse if you weld and it's single layer, you'll have to repaint the roof

Well its done and mounted. The fuse has been blown but, its trucker style now.

I have always liked the trucker style, now to just add the dual antennas.
