Effective purification via a filtering process requires extreme pressure to adequately remove unwanted particulars. Chemical purification or boiling are better bets. Remember there is a difference between filtration and purification...

It can be even easier. This is what I got and I sent a mini off with a missionary going out of country.

Pay attention how many gallons these small filters can handle.
