Unfortunately, Camp Bullis is closed to all civilians for shooting. For active military or retired, though, it's not bad. $25.00 a year membership, 100 meter range for rifle and pistol, open weekends from 10-2.

I spent a month at Camp Bullis in 1975. It was a bit rustic then and still belonged to the Army. Officers had little trailers.
We lived in tents ate out of mess kits or K-rations. There was a range but the Air Force could not use it, so we fired blanks in the woods.
Its hard to find amongst the shopping centers and houses now.
We had to drive 20+ miles to the Waterhole #3 for any fun.
I have a picture posted on the links page of a little site I have UDORN R.T.A.F.B..
Well, I can certainly understand why they would not let the Air Force carry live ammo.... LOL. Just kidding my friend.... after all, the difference between the Army and the Air Force is that the Army's Officer plan the attack and send the enlisted off to fight.... the Air Force enlisted prepare the planes and send the officer off to fight.
You gotta admit it.... the Air Force has got the right idea.
my last shoot at bullis was 1983.I shot on the B trp 7/17 cav pistol team and made the finals.when the day was over I took 2nd place the csm got me by 2 points.
I had to use my issue smith and his was well worked over in the arms room.I had a blast.
