The California state Senate voted 28-8 Wednesday to exempt itself from the pointless gun-control laws that apply to the rest of the populace. Legislators apparently think they alone are worthy to pack heat on the streets for personal protection, and the masses ought to wait until the police arrive................................................

Courts care about the 14th. A lot of lawsuits in CA lately, and almost none of the 2A lawsuits are brought on 2A grounds. Any time they open themselves up on another that's better-respected and has a lot more case law (like the 14th), we win.

IS off the deep end?? The Peoples' Яepublik of Kalifornia has been circling the porcelain receptacle for more years than I care to count. I lived there for many years and I watched the state go from relatively not too bad to completely out of control. When they made the .380 semi-auto that I'd bought in 1980 a "Saturday night special" less than 15 years later I realized that someone needed to pull the handle and flush this

-hole down the crapper.

I now live in Nevada which is a far cry from the above mentioned

-hole but the liberal asswipes from there are moving here and trying the same things that screwed their state over. I'm now biding my time until I retire (2017) so I can pack my old ass

up and move to my retirement compound/castle/fortress in Texas.

Yes, I WILL be bringing all my guns and ammo so I can assist in any standoffs against the socialist federal government that Texas feels is necessary....

FWIW, I hate the place and don't want to see Texas turn into California. I love Texas.

It's getting better. There has been enough open carry as a form of protest that the police have laid off for the most part. Once they realized people weren't actually doing it for self defense but for political speech, the brakes got thrown on real quick. Thoughts of 1A lawsuits cause city attorneys to lose a lot of sleep.

Just the same, if I carry, it's going to be loaded. Hell with that.

The demographics of state residents are an important factor in killing this state. That's not a racist statement, just facts. The Mexican/American population here (legal and illegal) is almost 100% Democrat, and they love the welfare state. Some counties exceed 50% population in Latinos, and at election time it shows. Trust me, there is no hope for this state....it WILL go bankrupt and hemorrhage into the rest of America.
