Radar says the best grape soda is Grape Nehi!Ya'll be puttin' salt or Tajin on that watermelon? Hill Country Fare makes a decent diet grape soda. Stuff will turn your shit green though.
Have a Slim Chickens near me, haven't tried it. Tinsley's was very good.Church's is not bad. We also have Slim Chicken. When I was in school in College Station, they had Tinsley's Chicken and Rolls. Outstanding! You could buy a big bag of their fresh baked rolls for a couple of bucks.
Are the Tinsley's gone, do you know?Have a Slim Chickens near me, haven't tried it. Tinsley's was very good.

Been there. Can't say I agree. My mother in laws current husband took us there a few years back. He had grown up with it so I don't fault him (or you) but I think this is a case of nostalgia being better than reality.I don't have any childhood memories of mom or grandma fried chicken, or even my wifes. What I do remember as the very best fried chicken & shrimp. And corn fritters.
I have probably had worse bbq than at Bill Millers, just can't remember when though.Around San Antonio, Bill Millers BBQ has pretty good fried chicken. I prefer it to most others. Not a big fan of their BBQ, though.
