    Hey guys,

    I was wondering...

I am very, very new to 22lr. (I know it seems like everyone started off with a 22)

So I have a ruger 10/22 and a kimber 22lr conversion for my Rock Island GI.

Does anyone know if CCI sells ammo in bulk?

It's good for hunting and target practicing.

    Thanks!

I've had inconsistent results with various CCI models. My SIG 229 runs great on this Federal...so great, I have another 2100 rounds on the way! Look for the Cabela's deal from time to time...discount and maybe an ammo box and maybe free delivery if all the stars align. ;)
    [Cabelas] .22 Federal Ammo 2100 rounds + Ammo Can: 69.99 +tax+ possible FS - Slickdeals.net

BTW, this is from one post in the above thread on SlickDeals:
"However, as far as ammo cost goes, Walmart is $18.97 for 555 rounds which comes out to $0.034 cents while this comes out to $0.033 cents. "

    YMMV and all that!

I bought two boxes at the WalMart on S Hulen in Ft Worth. $15.47 and 1 box at WalMart on McCart for the same price. The McCart WalMart was a buck higher on Federal 9mm than the one on East Chase Pkwy in E. Ft Worth. Go figure.

Haven't had all that good results with Federal Red Box bulk in either of my 10-22s or P22s. CCI Mini Mag is good for accuracy in all of them but it is more expensive. Federal Match is pretty good, Blue Box is good, and, of course, Wolf MT is excellent...but damn expensive for plinking...and I cannot ever seem to find it locally...

Most Academies now have bulk quantities of CCI .22LR packaged in a plastic ammo box -- somewhere around 1,000 rounds for $99.99 + tax.

Are you sure that quantity is right? That would be a pretty bad price. They cost 6.99/100 from walmart.

I picked up 2,500 rounds of CCI MiniMags for $151 delivered from the Sportsman's Guide
