Correct. You just cannot carry it on your person unless you are on your property or property under you controll or in route to your vehicle.

Bowie knives are considered dangerous weapons by Texas state law.Look under penal code.Search for knife.Sounds kind of funny that a state known for Bowie knife makes them illegal.Switchblade laws have changed also.You can now own them as a collector only,except for LEO&EMT.Do not carry or will have a roommate that thinks your cute.LOL
