I have always wanted to try this, yesterday I was watching "Sons of Guns" and noticed they were bow fishing. The cute sales chick caught a sheep head and a redfish. I do realize they are located in Louisiana but am curious what the Texas rules are.

    My questions are -

    1. How do you know if the "game" fish your aiming at is legal length? Cause I am pretty sure that is a lethal strike once the arrow spears them. Is there a penalty if a Game Warden catches you shooting a junior fish?

    2. Is this open to any "game" species fresh or salt water? I have always heard of people using this method on gar, but not really any other popular species.
