I’ll be moving to San Antonio in October so I’m looking to get some information on local ranges and shops. I’ll probably be living in the North West. I’m military, my side job has been instructing handgun and rifle classes in Colorado Springs.

    1) I’m looking for an indoor range that will allow me to draw/shoot from appendix. Does anyone know of a good indoor range that allows this?

    2) I’m look for a USPSA/IDPA/other club that runs competitions.

    3) Are there any major instructors that are based in San Antonio or ranges that regularly bring in national instructors? I’m aware of The Ranch Tx and I’m looking forward to attending their annual shooters symposium.

    4) What’s the best gun shop for cheap transfers?

    5) What’s the best shop for NFA toys?

    6) Best Glock Blue label dealer?

Ideas for you. Become a DPS certified firearms instructor.

Blue label Glocks are common. $20 transfers are too.

As for which shops for NFA. Set up a trust first if you haven't already. We have a member that specializes in it.

As for everything else. It's shopping around for what fits you. San Antonio is huge. If they don't have it. You can find it down the road.

It's a smaller shop and it's north of San Antonio. Armed in America Is a good place to go for transfers. I go there for all my gun needs. Great guys.

Good, low-key IDPA match runner. Safety IS first, I've even seen SOs DQ'd for a safety violation.. it's taken very seriously, but it's also a very welcoming group to new shooters. There is a Carbine match tomorrow at Cedar Ridge (just outside S.A.). I shot 4 matches last weekend, 3 with TTac. Check them out.
