    I have a used Benchmade infidel I got i when I was in the military and now im out I cant carry it so I wanted to trade it off would that be legal here in Texas. Would I have to trade it to a military or leo person. Clue me in thanks.

    As far as I know anyone can own a auto Knife, they just cant carry. It is also illegal to sell if your a retailer.

    Edit: Never Mind it is illegal unless it is dealt with as a antique or curious

    - 46.05. Prohibited Weapons. (a) A person commits and offense
    if he intentionally or knowingly possesses, manufactures,
    transports, repairs, or sells... (5) a switchblade
    knife... (d) It is an affirmative defense to prosecution
    under this section that the actor's conduct: (1) was
    incidental to dealing with a switchblade knife,
    springblade knife, or short-barrel firearm solely as an
    antique or curio...

    The Infidel is for law-enforcement and military usage only, and that is only during the commission of either duty. Switchblades are their own category of knife.

    Retailers can sell switchblades and you can own one just can't carry.What a dumb law!
