Well the Military hires hordes of civilian gunsmiths and they pay salary so its highly competitive. Most of them are veterans and have a ton of experience under their belts. Not many of them had degrees.
There's so many good examples of how to become a Gun Smith on here. Im 23 years old and wanting to get started with school and be finished by the time I get out of the Army. I have 4 years left (darn aviation contracts lol)
The Question. If anyone has the time i would appreciate an Email on how they got started GunSmithing and how it has turned out for them. I dont care if your a backyard GS or own a shop. Id love to hear from anyone truly hahah <--sounds desperate but im in need of some good info. Thanks guys for the time. My personal email is..... davis_andrew@ymail.com
Start with the Glock certified armors course. It is only one day and reasonably priced. Contact the Glock sports shooters foundation for more details. I found the course to be relatively simple and very helpful.
