Backpacks...WTF?

I've got a son-in-law who constantly wears a men's crossbody bag. Thankfully I'm never out in public with him.

I have a "tactical" style backpack that I carry for business. I travel very frequently and it carries my laptop, tablet, chargers, notebooks, access badges, mobile phones, etc. It fits under the seat storage on a plane. My wife complained about the desert camo style coloring, so bought me the exact same style in black, since I usually wear a business suit to work. It's really a repurposed range bag. But a few years ago, I learned to not reuse them for that when I left a spare mag in one going through the airport.

I have one I use when we go on hikes, etc... Normally don't carry one in an everyday basis, but they are damn handy when you need to carry a bunch of stuff.
For work I have a laptop bag, but I've seen many others use a backpack instead.

If I travel overnight, my laptop, prescription drugs and other needed items are in a backpack.

Some of us OLDer folks call it a BOB... so where do you carry your xtra mags?

I have a BOB in my trunk and it's got 2 loaded magazines, plus another 200 rounds in boxes in it, in addition to matches, magesium fire starters, foil blankets, first aid kit, water, etc...

I use one for work. It contains a computer, brass knuckles, a knife, and a 9mm with three extra magazines.

I don't use a backpack just because I only have the bare essentials in my pockets. Keys, wallet, pocket knife, spare change and phone is usually all that I take everywhere.


Everyone has different needs so I wouldn't hate on their choice of bags plus it's their business anyway.
