I haven't gotten any from Scheels in the Colony in 3 years. When I am there they have a lot of high priced ammo and basicly no reloading supplies.Scheels in little Elm has them regularly. Hit or miss as to which ones, and usually only one kind.
Found some SPP for 12.00/100 so I passed. Coincidentally , I go home and open a coffee can I think contains rifle parts. Found one brick of a 1000 CCI SPP and one brick of 1000 LRP. Both were marked at +/- $10.00 per brick.
Was curious on what I paid the last time I stocked up on primers so went digging through old emails for the orders. $130 for 5000 small pistol primers. Feeling of relief I stocked up when I did and disgusted at the current situation all at the same time.Found some SPP for 12.00/100 so I passed. Kinda like gas, depends if you need it. With shipping and hazmat bought a brick of CCI small pistol mag for about $134. Limited to 1K purchase. Stinks but at least available.I didn't know there was a Scheel's in Little Elm and the Colony. That makes little sense. Never been to either and haven't bought or even looked for primers in years. I will not pay $0.12 per primer ever. NEVER. Defeats more than half the purpose of reloading. The other half of the purpose is preservation so I will shoot OEM or nothing to save my ability to be self-supportive.
So I guess it's like I bought 50K gallons of gas at $1.65 per three years ago and now I take the bus.Kinda like gas, depends if you need it. With shipping and hazmat bought a brick of CCI small pistol mag for about $134. Limited to 1K purchase. Stinks but at least available.
