Half the fun of a NASCAR race is feeling the engines shake your body as they roar past you. A dead silent race does not sound interesting to me.

More boo boo bs. INDYCAR has moved to hybrids this year. This honestly doesn’t surprise me
They will still make the cars roar, in any engine sound you want.
Nazkar, Top Fuel, F1 from the early days where they were turning 20,000+ RPM, or even just play Taylor Swift.

Well, now...doesn't mean I wouldn't want of those contraptions for the man cave...
A really good haptic rig with 3 high refresh 4k monitors, computer to run the graphics at full, and really good audio would run you about $15,000-$20,000. Still cheaper than buying an entry level car and racing at your local race track for a year.

They're somewhat harming racing with setups like that by being relatively accessible, you can race any track you want at any time of the day, theres zero maintenance, very few repairs, no tow-rig, zero risk of crashing, you don't even have to be sober. Plus you can play other driving games like European trucking simulator.
