I wouldn't be too cheery yet. They can still move on this thing. But it's a good sign. My oh my, if they cannot get this done in Illinois, we should be safe from any movement at the federal level.

That's dam good news and maybe an indicator of what will happen nationally.

Gun manufacturers also said the proposal could force them to lay off workers.

Could easily be a major factor.
