I took a 50 year old lady to the range yesterday to learn to shoot her new pistol, a Canick tp9sa. Actually not a bad shooting litle pistol but a little large for her hands. She had not even tried to shoot sonce a bad experience at age 12.
I started out working with her with a blue gun. Worked on safety, grip, stance and balance. Each new thing, I explained why each was important. Once she had that down and was relaxed, we went to the line with a P22. This was her first magazine.
And after 3 magazines at 5 yards
And with the first magazine from her pistol
After 3 hours of shooting, I let her shoot my Heritage .22, the Vaquero Bisley .357 and the Vaquero .45. She did as well or better. I dropped her at her house at 7pm and by 8pm she was looking for her own Heritage Rough Rider.
The bug took a big bite out of her I think. Had a big smile.
