    I haven't clocked an accurate mpg on my 5 ton but most guys report close to 10mpg. My experiences seem to support that.

    Not bad at all for a truck that actually weighs over 10 tons.

    Not too shabby for a Turbo fed, Blown V8 Detroit Diesel. Add to that, on the M977, cargo variant with 2500lb crane, actually can lift an H1 into its cargo bed, assuming the lift limiters are faulty and the straps don't break.
