5-ton Deuce and a half in Houton

I haven't clocked an accurate mpg on my 5 ton but most guys report close to 10mpg. My experiences seem to support that.

Not bad at all for a truck that actually weighs over 10 tons.

The HMMTT gets about 300 miles to the tank, 150 gallons, if I remember right. Assuming it is all driving open road.

Sounds like the reports I have heard too.

Would still trade my truck for one.

Not too shabby for a Turbo fed, Blown V8 Detroit Diesel. Add to that, on the M977, cargo variant with 2500lb crane, actually can lift an H1 into its cargo bed, assuming the lift limiters are faulty and the straps don't break.
