Does anyone have any experience with this round? Will it damage or gunk up my barrel? I have a few boxes. I dont plan to shoot them at the local range rather at the ranch for fun plinking. What about an evening/night hog hunt? Any comments would be appreciated.

I think you should make the drive out to west Texas and have a go. Everything's already on fire there, so some tracers won't hurt!

The trace element does not light until about 75 yards out of the barrel. Won't hurt your gun at all. However, as suggested, it might be *prudent* to not shoot these except into a well-controlled bank of soft clay or anything else that is not flammable. They will definitely start a fire.
