I want to buy a .357 single action for cowboy shoots. Looking for something with a 5.5" or 6" barrel and perhaps without a transfer bar. I do not have a brand preference but if you have a J.P. Sauer und Sohn that would be great.

I live in Abilene but I travel some - DFW, Austin, and others - so let me know what you have.

    Thanks.

Dammit. As a kid I had a Sauer and Sons SA .357 just as you wish. Sold it for a rifle at a gun show. Terrible decision. Good luck with your search. Sure wish I had that gun back!

Don't overlook Uberti and Pietta. They can be found under other names (importers who may make mods), like Cimarrons, Taylor, Great Western II.

If you want a Colt SAA clone, this is a good way to get into it. I've seen them for $425 and up, used.

I prefer Uberti and have had good luck with them.
