So the 30SC becomes a replacement 22/25/32/380 purse pistol. Or for the gal Houston cops so they can shoot better?
Man had asked for the perfect round, but man was flawed. .45, 9mm, .40, 10mm, .380, .25...

There were too many choices. Too much emotion. It was nigh impossible to pick the right option. But with .30 super carry, the choice is clear.

    You go on ahead pilgrim.
We'll see you in a year or two fervently searching The Old Western Scrounger for ammo.

There's a new caliber that's making the news - I think .30SC's days really are numbered once more people get ahold of .35 OTA (Oak Tree Acorn). Careful, though, some consider it a "cop killer" round, and some police agencies are pretty nervous about it being adopted by the public.

Short version is wife asked for EDC gun, went around town together and looked at a bunch and she says S&W Shield Plus is her preferred choice based on hand feel alone. Was set on 9mm before discovering there is a new caliber option that seems to make sense for this role. I know the cost is higher but not terrible. I imagine less recoil for this caliber and more seeds in the clip are all a good thing without losing effectiveness.

Any reason not to get the new cal for her gun?
What do YOU carry? You really like stocking two calibers instead of one? Not to mention stocking ammo for the one and only gun that you own that uses that particular cartridge. That ammo will cost twice what 9mm does. Do you handload? You'll be limited to picking up your own brass for reloads, no one else will be abandoning theirs on the range. Imagine you are out someplace together and one of you needs another mag, they won't be inter-changeable. Even the ammo won't be inter-changeable. How much do the spare mags for that .30 Super Carry cost? Are they readily available? Is that AMMO readily available?

The one fly in the ointment is that I doubt Speer will make a No. 12 shot snake load for the .30 Super Carry. It's too bad because No. 12 is death on buzzers, and a swarm of it in a perp's face and he will have the chance to learn Braille in prison.
Time to start writing letters to Smith & Wesson to chamber the CSX in .30 SC. ONWARD SC SOLDIERS!
