So who is going traditional Christmas dinner, and who is going non-traditional dinner this year?

Wife and I know we are at least smoking a large boneless turkey breast for Christmas dinner. Maybe even another ham since I still have one left in the freezer. Everything else is still up in the air.

My DILs have said they want a BBQ theme. Last year we did Mexican, the year before that we did fried seafood, and the previous year we did a traditional Christmas dinner.

I'm game for focus on BBQ - ribs, chicken, brisket, and sausage it is!

I smoke a brisket every Christmas, I'm done with ham and turkey after Thanksgiving. We make brisket tacos and use the leftovers for bbq sandwiches. BTW, brisket is expensive AF right now.

I'm still full from the triple treat box last night with wings and apple pies. I ate tooooo much.

    But tonight....

Ham, taters, rolls, veggies, and a couple pies.

Every year I say Dennys next year.

You are correct. Briskets are expensive. If you have a Kroger's close, they sometimes put their good briskets on sale and are decently priced. last time they were on sale, we picked up two of them and one went into the freezer.

Last night was chinese takeout. Took over an hour before picking it up, super busy.

Tonight just the three of us, going to grill some filet mignons w/ béarnaise sauce, roasted fingerling potatoes, sausage cornbread dressing, roasted carrots, cabernet sauvignon.
