Why not both? Definitely won't be getting rid of our Wrangler... ever.I'll stick to my Wrangler.

I'm sure they are, but probably not compared to a modern V8. As great as modern turbo engines are, there is no replacement for displacement.
Not surprising .. You love ugly cars :PDespite these things, I'm still considering it.
That was definitely an issue for quite some time, but times have changed. A properly sized turbo, much better wheel design (both turbine and compressor), direct injection, and better computer controls means you can even tell the motors are turbocharged anymore. They really do drive like much larger displacement naturally aspirated motors.Yeah the knock on turbo motors is low-speed throttle response/power delivery, which can be hard for technical off-roading.
NA engines are generally very linear in their power delivery, with a smoothly rising torque curve.
Small, boosted engines tend o have an abruptly rising torque curve. They lack off-boost torque. So you can often get more power than you wanted once boost spools-up.
I like unique cars, which this Bronco isn't going to be. There will be a million of them. Not surprising .. You love ugly cars :P
This is where the slushbox will have an advantage. The torque converter will keep the engine loaded and the turbo will be pushing peak torque at like 1800rpm. It's going to have low speed cruise control too, so crawling will be effortless.Yeah the knock on turbo motors is low-speed throttle response/power delivery, which can be hard for technical off-roading.

Agreed. I'm not saying they shouldn't have released a mom wagon grocery getter, I'm saying they shouldn't have called it a Blazer. The Blazer is an embarrassment.

I think they did a good job giving some styling nods to the original. No V8 = no thanks. Looks to futuristic too.
I always wonder if one of these truck companies will one day just make a classic lineup with their squarebody trucks from the past.
Is that a scout next to that old bronco?
ETA: Obviously not serious.
IFS, solid rearI wonder if it will have a solid front axle or IFS. Probably the later for daily driving.
Yea thats true. I think of Broncos as this since I was a kid in the 90sI think they did a good job giving some styling nods to the original.
