One thing always to remember is that our founding documents were a compromise. I think we did well but we certainly could have done better. Even some of the judicial issues mentioned in book were addressed at the founding but were not implemented, again due to compromise. Term limits for all parts of government would have helped immensely.Got the Kindle version of MIB by Levin. Good read, lots of valid points about activist lawyer's in black robes ... not just SCOTUS.
As one who has always been suspicious of the blurring of distinctions inherent in a US law school education, makes you question whether the framers were as forward looking as we hoped with our judiciary ...

For those interested in the book, yes it’s about judicial cases but it is actually a very easy and intriguing book.
That certainly defines 2019 pretty accurately.... is where no one is completely happy.
H. Joaquin Jackson was an anti gun fleck of shit IMHO.Okay, this thing has been sitting for a while.
I recommend everyone read "One Ranger", by H. Joaquin Jackson. It's an interesting tale of the life of a Texas Ranger. He went on to act in movies and had quite the full life.

I just finished the sequel, "One Ranger Returns" and it was interesting, but not as gripping as the first book.
Read both and let me know!
He sure does not come across that way in the book. Got a link?H. Joaquin Jackson was an anti gun fleck of shit IMHO.
He talked like a shit salesman with a mouthful of samples (very hard to understand) but he was opposed to >5 round cap magazine & the civilian ownership of AR.He sure does not come across that way in the book. Got a link?
