Its funny these still come up for sale and people buy them. I guess it's just for the history collectors

It's definitely a historically significant firearm. As well as an example of how not to do it.

Apparently if you have one that's kept perfectly clean and impeccably maintained it's a pretty cool weapon to shoot. Just don't break it, because my understanding is the parts weren't interchangeable from one example to the next. And don't take it outside, because if it gets dirty it'll immediately stop working.

Yet somehow people still try and make recoil operated long guns work.

Shot fired lol. I was a mechanic. Mostly a fobblet, but got out every once in awhile. I had an A2, so I'm not even sure why I got the grip pod in the first place, but it lived on some of my first AR's I had when I got home.
Everybody knows 63B is the most important MOS.

Anytime a grip pod deployed in a dfac everyone would give the same reaction as if you dropped your weapon. Beat your face time
What’s worse, when someone followed the protocol in the clearing barrel outside the DFAC and sent a round in to the sand the base commander at Anaconda decided he was gonna make sure that never happened again.

So he changed the policy. No more squeezing the trigger in the clearing barrel. Now the live round just goes in the DFAC with them!

We didn’t have grip pods though. You just kept it on your back while eating.

Call me a dinosaur as I have a Oelher 35 P Complete system. For the longest time it was the only one out there.

I've got an old Caldwell chrony.
It's served me well. The technology is ancient in current terms.
